I Need to Write

Like the title says, I need to write, but I can't think of a damn topic.
I'm sure readers appreciate a good post, rather than 10 incoherent ones, right?

I realize that all my posts are based on bursts of inspirations. I actually wonder, can people pull ideas out of nowhere and then start writing? J.K Rowling got her inspiration whilst traveling on a train, just a fun fact for those who didn't already know.

I want to have inspirations that will compel me to keep writing until I have enough material for a novel. Like whenever I start to write, I would find my inspiration fading away after a couple of sentences and then I would be left hanging, like okay, so what the fuck do I write now. -facepalm- Talk about first-world writer problems. hurhurhur.

Another fun fact, I really hate blogging in the function room, because the lights are sensor-operated and they will be turned off if no movement is picked up after a period of time, so I'm technically running on a tight schedule here. It's good practice, if I were to face insane deadlines in the future. Yay positivity saves the day! >_>

I secretly wonder what will happen if the world doesn't end on Friday. How many people believe in that shit anyway? Anticipating some good chaos soon; more of that to come!

Toodeloo.

Dust

Sand figures stood side by side, their features flawlessly sculptured. It was like they were once human. There they stood, steadfast on the layers of sand underneath. A sandstorm rages, but they withstood its fury, prevailing in the end.

Then the raging sun beat down mercilessly on them. The figures were scalding hot, but there they were, standing tall. Night came and the sun sneaked away, only to be replaced by its equally cruel, subzero counterpart. Once brave desert critters scatter in search of warmth, but not the statues. They remained defiant to the adversities before them.

A pudgy merchant passed by the statues en route his destination. He saw the figures and walked towards them.

He sneered and lashed out at one of them; the male one. It crumbled under his destructive force. Bit by bit, it was torn apart and when the merchant was done, all that was left of that figure was a pile of sand. Satisfied with his work, the merchant went on his way. a strong gust of wind came and took the dusty remains with it, scattering the pile of sand all over the place.

If the merchant had looked carefully, he might have seen that damp patch of sand under the remaining figure's eyes.

Puppetry

A puppeteer manipulates puppets the create the illusion of life.
The puppeteer may be visible to or hidden from the audience. A puppeteer can operate a puppet indirectly by the use of strings, rods, wires, electronics or directly by his or her own hands placed inside the puppet or holding it externally. Some puppet styles require puppeteers to work together as a team to create a single puppet character.
There are a wide range of styles of puppetry but whatever the style, the puppeteer's role is to manipulate the physical object in such a manner that the audience believes the object is imbued with life. In some instances the persona of the puppeteer is also an important feature.- Wikipedia

Sounds familiar? Being used and not even knowing about it. Must have been tragic, if they had some sense of life that is, some sense of ownership, to take back their lives from the manipulator.

Oh right, they're lifeless.

Intricate (Narrative Quickie 1)

He should've seen it coming.

First the flash, illuminating the muzzle;
then the whizz of the bullet, locked on its target like it had done this a hundred times.

Thud. The damage has been done. Smoke curled from where the bullet had been.
He looked down, and saw the ring of crimson spreading rapidly across his white shirt.

With all his strength deserting him at once, his legs buckled and he folded onto the floor.

Except, he wasn't surprised to end up like this.
He didn't even feel the intense pain that was eating him alive.

All he knew was that the pain he felt before that needed to be stopped.

He dropped his gun and waited for his escape.

Resistance

I've just finished reading the final book of the Power of Five series and it was an amazing journey. I felt the same sense of departure as I did when the Harry Potter series ended too.

I wonder what's gonna happen to be in two years, or maybe next year, or this month, or even tomorrow. Sometimes I feel like a lab rat being forced to go through the motions over the last 20 years. If the world ends tomorrow, what kind of life would I have lived? Nothing! Just studying without a cause, working aimlessly because I was told to, before spending the last days in camp.

How many of you aren't ready to die yet? You can't be so certain that you'll live to a ripe old age, having done everything you've always wanted to do before passing on peacefully without a care in the world; without regrets. This concept is so beautiful, and it could've been, in an ideal world. Except that we're nowhere near that world, and who's to say that I'll still be alive the next day.

What are the thoughts and images that will run through your mind as you drift further away from your body? Knowing that some things happen once in a lifetime, and losing that opportunity will close that door forever; it's scary to even fathom that all that anticipation do travel, to play on a cosmic sized playground that is the Earth - will come to a shuddering halt, just like that, like a flame on the candle extinguished in a hurry, so will the light of your world.

And truthfully, I hate this country, I hate how the people have turned into robots, and the rest of us are too afraid to stand out, afraid to be judged by the scornful eyes of society. When will we realise that there's no more time to sit back and let fear control our lives. And most importantly, when the light of your life goes out, will you be able to accept that fact and die in peace?

If everything ends tomorrow, I'll be turning in my grave.
I don't know about you.

I won't rest in peace, at least now until I leave my mark.
You should too.

Incognito

It's hard to have any remote sort of faith in human beings these days. Little things like these kinda convinces me that the world is indeed ending soon, cause I don't see how people are going to live together in peace at this rate

And honestly, who the duck has hope for the next generation at all? I thought I was stupid back in secondary school. Then I see those idiots post on facebook and all of a sudden, I felt so much better about myself already.

Okay so this is getting a little offensive, let's talk about something upbeat! Today, some of my friends will be discharged from the army. Naturally, I'm happy for them, half of me that is. The other half is somewhere in that pool of self-pity. boohoo.
I guess it's upbeat for them, not me. hurhur.

What else.. oh this week has been really good to me. My fucking boss was away all week so I don't have to listen to his self-labelled words of wisdom and pseudo-confident -snaps fingers- "You understand now?" Like fuck yes, you gave me an epiphany yay let's give you a medal for that.

Okay it's dark in here and I'm scared.
If you're laughing at me now, shut up! ):

Things

There is a reason why a smile is a downward curve. You must descend to your lowest before climbing back up - that's when the smile is complete.

"Look at those people, they follow the rules for what? They're letting fear lead them."
"So what happens when they don't follow the rules?"
"Life is simple, you make choices and you don't look back." - Han, Tokyo Drift

There's no right or wrong, just good and bad decisions. How your life is affected by those decisions determines if it's right or wrong.

Some of the worst people I've come across are Christians. I used to believe that all Christians are good people. Not anymore.

I'm still a Christian.

Girls, why call other girls sluts for stealing your guys? If you were that good, they wouldn't have fallen for someone else. Get over yourselves.

(Singaporean guys), you idiots are complete failures when it comes to treating girls right. Learn to be human for once.

"If you're in control, you're not going fast enough."

Authority is just another word for amplified Napoleon's Complex.

No, your level of popularity isn't proportional to the number of likes you get on Facebook, neither does posting selfies with stolen quotes make you a love counselor.

Some people think they can play the flirting game, only to leave with tears and shame. Stick to stalking in the bushes if you can't step up, loser.

Too fast to live,
too young to die.

So.. I got sick of all the attention whoring statuses on Facebook and came up with my own. Think you've seen controversy? You ain't seen nothin' yet, motherfucker. O:
