HR Department
By now, you would have realized that you’re in fact, sitting in the same office as the HR Department. For general knowledge, the whole department, including IT, is known is the CAD, or the Corporate Affairs Division/Department. Take note because you’ll have to fill in the acronym somewhere on your time sheet.
With that out of the way, the HR Department will surprisingly be quite connected to you, especially so when you have little work to do. Apparently, the culture here is for the HR Department to not be able to complete their work in time and hope that the intern can help them. I would like to add that while there’s nothing wrong about this, you should be careful when documenting this in your log book, as your lecturer-in-charge may start to question your job scope. Expect to help them out from time to time. Also, they are the ones to go to should you have a medical certificate to submit; specifically to May Din, who is in charge of these things. While there are a few bitchy ones inside, I’d like to give a special shout out to Jenny Peh, who was nothing but nice to me during the course of my internship.
Overall: 6/10
Generally nice people, you should have little to no trouble working with them. Might even get a kick from listening to the bimbotic things they say at times. The fact that they’re a slightly judgmental bunch, coupled with occasional Twilight ravings can prove to be a tad annoying, however.
So there, hope you enjoy!
Will resume blogging in awhile
Toodles!
