Well The Secret World and Diablo 3 launched its open beta and official game respectively last week, hence the lack of a post. Now I know this is usually the spot to issue some sort of an apology but I shan't this time, cause well.. I'm really not ashamed of forsaking my blog to fight the forces of hell.
I like taking the bus. It is by far my favourite everyday transportation mode.
And before you begin to point out its flaws, yes I'm well aware of how slow it can be, or how jittery it gets traversing bumpy roads, but as a person who likes to take things easy, traveling on the bus gives me the time I need to do so.
If I were to take a train, I'd reach my destination in no time, but where's the fun in that? On one side you'll see a boring concrete building every 3 minutes (aka train station) and on the other? Half the time, nothingness, as you zoom into the endless black hole that is the tunnel.
That's not all, being on the train was kinda unpleasant for me. I never liked the idea of a bunch of strangers sitting together in a row. I mean, what if I were sitting in the middle, flanked by a very large lady and an old fogey reading the newspapers? I'm like what the fuck, dont flip that shit in my face. And yes I was also referring to the slab of fat on that lady.
So I ended up standing with an extremely bad posture at the side of the train, like the slimy invertebrate that I am.
On the bus? Nuh-uh. Two seaters suits me better for two reasons. One, if someone unpleasant sits next to me, I can actually lean on the other side. Two, when it gets too crowded and a chick boards the bus with only the seat next to me available, she'll have no choice.
But in all seriousness, I really do feel the kind of soothing atmosphere on a bus that you'll never find on the train. It's like everyone's rushing to get somewhere. I want to move at my own slow pace, thank you very much.
Ok TV bye
